This series is really sapping emotions out of me.

All I can say about this test was ,India never looked in a place to win this one,their bowling was below standards ,batting ''which is supposed to be the forte of Indian Cricket'' is struggling ''infact struggling is an understatement with the amount of DUCKS visible on the Indian score card''.

Full marks to South Africa in all the departments ,they really came back strong on the Indians and in every right they deserved to win this one.

Eveything said and done ,I would like to make a mention of Shreeshant ,this guy really showed the courage in times of adversity ,only luck didnt favour him this time else we could have had a draw on our hands all thanks to the one man army called Shreeshant.

SHANE WARNE 's Cricketing career has not been free of controversies and scandals,the lowest point of his career was when he was charged with 1 year ban for failing a Dope test during the 2003 World Cup.

But he bounced back,setting aside the termoil in his personal life. AND all this had only made him go from strenght to strenght .

After the 3th test of the Ashes ,Shane had announced his retirement.

AND the 4th test was a very special game for him as we was playing on his home ground for the last time and also achieved the milestone of taking 700 test wickets .

BUT after his performance in the practise match and the first test '' both of which INDIA WON'' I have no problems with him,infact I congratulate him for his comeback and I just hope the luck which he has bought to the team remains for the days to come.

THE LAST POST REALLY TOOK OUT EMOTIONS OUT OF ME .

INDIA '' Team India '' lost the 3th as well as 4th one-day, loosing 4-0 to South Africa .BUT THE WIN IN THE 20-20 CRICKET MATCH WAS a pleasent site ,''cause a win is after all a win, for a victory starved fan like me''.
SO the selectors decided to bring back SAURAV GANGULY into the side''i'll leave my personal feelings about him for my next post'' .AND GUESS WHAT INDIA WON ITS PRACTISE MATCH .
AT THIS MOMENT, I WAS JUST GETTING OVER THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE PAST

MOST OF THE MEDAL CAME IN SHOOTING,TENNIS ,WEIGHTLIFTING AND SOME UNEXPECTED MEDALS CAME FROM THE 4*400 RELAY WOMEN'S TRACK EVENT AND CHESS.

AND THE BASHING CONTINUES

Firstly,India does not even make it to the semi-final stage of the ICC Champions Trophy which coincidentally was being played in India, then it again looses to a second string South African team in a practise match, then in the 2nd ODI(the first one was abandoned due to rain) India gets all out at a score of just 91 runs,''till this moment we all held our patience'' .''WE thought that India is just going throught a rough patch and it would bounce back''.
BUT the dismil performance of India in the 3th ODI has really bought shame on the faces of every cricket fan in this country. AT one point of time South Africa were at 76-6 ,and from their on they went on and made 274 in their allorted 50 overs. AND India's poor show with the bat continued and eventually they lost by 106 runs.
IS India the same team which has the likes of ''the great'' Sachin Tendulkar 'who just walks on the pitch to make 2 runs, or the famously called ''the wall'' our captain Rahul Dravid who of late is made of sugar glass,and the list also includes the likes of Virender Sehwag whos loosing his hair and his form almost on the same pace and '' Mahe '' our very own Mr.Dhoni whos busy with grooming his hair than grooming his skills on the cricket field.Then theirs Kaif whos house was stoned according to some media reports ''I guess a really angry fan must have done it after galloping a bottle of alcohol just to forget India's performance.
What can I say about the bowlers ,Zaheer Khan came back with a bang after being dropped on several ocasions, I guess to make others play well ,we should treat them the same way and then they can take tips from him on how to hold a ball .
In the past few days some interesting personalities of Indian politics have expressed their concerns or may I say have made the poor show of Indian Cricket Team their political agenda .
They even had an arguement over this issue in the parliament'' makes me wonder who useless and concerned they are about the country,everyday farmers are comminting suicides and these people who supposidely are the leaders of INDIA, discuss the efficiency of Greg Chapple .
Some people are demanding Sharat Pawars resignation ,''does he play on the field ,does he make the team strateges ,then why pick on him;these issues never arose when India was winning,
And them their are stories about Greg Chapple being planted by the Australian Cricket Board to dismantle the Indian Cricket.'' hahaha PJ '' ,how can one even imagine such stuff ??
THEIR were smiles everywhere when Chappel bought Pathan up the order and India won quite a few matches with him being the main contributor,then why in the world, is his so called ''experiments'' now being targetted and talked about at lenght on tv channels with everybody big and not-so-big in the cricketing world having their opinion on it .
And in the 3TH ODI Dinesh Kartik ''who is a wicket-keeper'' was bought at number 3 , everybody is blaming Greg Chappel for it, is he the only one who makes all the decisions and strategied for team India, I am sure he had full backing of Rahul Dravid and the team management then why blame only him.
AND now the only solution which we can think about of is ''BRING BACK GANGULY''??
but will this work ,I think this would be an addition to already out of form bunch of players.
SO ,my fellow Indians stop blaming the sun, the moon,the earth for India's loosing streak and get on with your own lifes and try to forget cricket for the time being '' i kno its tough but we can still try'' and take up a new sport or a new hobby which doesn't make our blood boil when a Sachin or a Dhoni gets out on a duck.!!!

BASHING TEAM INDIA

I am a big cricket fan like every INDIAN is this country and WOULD really like India winning but this is something I feel as a fan of Indain cricket for the past 18 years.

Enough is enough

Indians are often accused of not supporting their team in times of crisis,but this time around team India really needs a bashing from the public, becuase I think this is our right ,these cricketers earn around 65 lakhs per match (yup its true,this includes all the money they get from BCCI, team sponsors,event sponsors,and of course their personal sponsors )

AND 95% of the Indian population doesn't even earn this amount of money even after working thier asses off for an entire year, on top of that lets not be shy in saying that CRICKET is our favorite form of entertainment.And when we do not get our entertainment we are bound to get angry.
90% of the revenue in International cricket today comes from India, the Board of Control of Cricket in India popularly known as BCCI is on of the richest sports bodies in the world,then also they cannot produce a team which is good and atleast wins a few matches. Where the deck is all that money going if we have such a awful bunch of players representing a country like India where every child's dream is to become a Sachin or a Dhoni.
Now a days we see more of DHONI AND DRAVID in the commercials that on the cricket pitch,and I think money is becoming more and more important for them as compared to the love of the game . I think they better change their profession to acting.
With the world cup coming next year,if this loosing streak continues then i think we won't be able to reach the quater finals also.

AS I FAN I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED FROM THE SHARE LACK OF COMMITMENT TEAM INDIA IS SHOWING .

LEAVING BEHIND THE MEMORY OF THE HORRIFYING LOSS AGAINST A SECOND STRING SOUTH AFRICAN TEAM DURING THE PRACTISE MATCH.

INDIA has not being performing well in the past few months now,mainly due to the batsmen ,as some of the top order batsmen are struggling with injuries and bad form.

I just hope this tour some joy to the fans like me and India bounces back to its winning streak

SHOAIB AKTHAR AND CONTROVERSIES ARE SYNONAMUS TO EACH OTHER.

SINCE HIS CAREER STARTED IN THE LATE 90'S ,HE HAS BEEN PLAUGED BY A NUMBER OF CONTROVERSIES,INFACT WE SEE HIS NAME IN THE PAPERS FOR THE MATCHES HES BEING BANNED FOR OR THE STUNTS HE PULLS OUT OUTSIDE THE GROUND RATHER THAN HIS STATS ON IT.

THIS TIME AROUND,a lot serious issue has come up,he has been charged with a DOPING ,this is a offence and he has been banned for 2 years.WHAT HE SAYS ABOUT THIS INCIDENT IS THAT HE HAD NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE DRUGS AND DOCTORS GAVE HIM THOSE BECAUSE HE WAS RECOVERING FROM AN INJURY.

I personlly feel that this matter should be seen with more minuteness,becuase I really enjoy him watch bowl and going well against teams expect INDIA .

I WAS EAGERLY ANTICIPATING THE BEGINING OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY ,BECAUSE I COULD WATCH ALL THE Matches AS MY HOLIDAYS WERE COINSIDING IT.
BUT MY LUCK SOON TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE ,I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT INDIA COULD NOT EVEN MAKE IT TOO THE SEMI-FINAL .
India started off well beating England but that match showed the weakness in their batting,but they got away with it cause the bowlers had gone a good job of restricting England to a low total.
THE match with West Indies was tight but India buckleded under pressure and finally surcame to a lose.Now the only thing that could save India from exiting was a win against Australia,which was a far fetched dream against the mighty Aussies who were in great form.And on ''the day'' India started off well but could not materialise the start and fell short of alomost 20 runs.Australia were up to the challange from the start at won convinsingly.
THE SEMI-FINALS WAS THE CHASH OF WEST INDIES AND SOUTH AFRICA ,,AND AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND .As most of us expected AUSSIES AND SOUTH AFRICA TO MEET IN THE FINALS ,BUT THANKS TO A GOOD SHOW PUT UP BY THE WEST INDIAN TEAM, AUSTRALIA AND WEST INDIES CLASHED IN THE FINAL .
AND AND AND ,finally Australia added another thophy to their overflowing rack.

RETURN OF THE RED MACHINE

Its not MAN U this time but Michael Schumarker,finally after such a long gap he regained his lost glory and created a world record of 9 podium finishes at F1 .HE also announced his retirement in fashion declaring that he would retire after this season.MY renewed interest in F1 is due to my friend ANISHA whos crazy about F1. I keenly followed F1 when NARAIN Kartirken was on,but after that i kind of lost interest.AND now i leanrt that NARAIN is coming back with williams as a test driver.
SCUMI WON THIS TIME ALSO AND NOW HE IS JUST 1 PONT BEHIND ALONSO LEADING UP TO THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

I just leart that SHREESHANT has been kept out of the final 14 for the up coming Hong Kong tour and the Champions thophy and the expanation given by the seletion board is''that he figures in our future plans''.NOW can anyone tell me what their future plan is,I think this decision of their is completely unfair to shreeshant because he is one of the best bowlers in the Indian team right now.AS a fan of shreeshant i am really hurt on the selectors decision.

I REALLY think that was not the correct way to protect against any decision made by the umpire''if they had to protest they could launch a complaint against HAIR with the ICC'' instead ,they did not turn up for the match 'now thats stupid'.SO , as a result it was a ''all loose'' situation for pakistan cauz they were in a winning situation and due to their stupidity ''as i may call it so'' the test match was awarded to England .And on top of that ''Inzy'' is being screwtenised for all this mess which i suppose was a somewhat miscommunication between the teams and the umpires.
AND now the whole situation has been blown out of proportion with everybody''the biggies and the not so biggies'' in the cricketing world having an opinion of their own.
SOME are calling Hair a racist'' i think which is very harsh cuaz he was only following rules '' and pakistan has made it a prestige issue.'' pakistan already does not have a good image in the International community and i think with a stand off like this, they will find themselves more and more ISOLATED.
Recently report have stated about cracks in the pakistan team management ''i really think this will hurt pakistan bad'' cuaz this issue is far from over .Lets see what happens to hair and inzy.I personally feel these things should not be taken to heart cauz its just cricket''its a sport''things like this happens.

Thursday, August 17, 2006South African Sr.teams abandons tour due to security reasons,but SA Under-19 check INthis is what yesterdays headline read.
There was a blast"terrorist attack "in colombo a few days back.As a consequence south african cricket team pulled out'siting security concerns'.Where as Indian team stays on to play 3 one-days "its was earlier a triangualr series".
As a cricket lover this was a major blow to my expectations of having fun"cuaz i really do enjoy watching cricket".But just to give it a thought in todays world which city(in fact country) is not prone to terrorist attacks"even New York ,Madrid,Mumbai and London have paid the brunt of terrorist attacks" ??So does this means teams and people should just pull out "leave everything behind "?.
I think in todays world we should be able to deal with these types of situations"cauz this is just the begining and lots more has to come".(I really think South Africa should have stayed on"when the President himself was offering his fleat of security"anyways all said and done they left 'but in the future they will have to deal with it cuaz they just can't abandon a series because of a bomb Blast")
Meanwhile
Heads off to the Indian team for staying on "actually this was done"evenif some palyers wanted to return"cuaz of the so called good bilateral relations between the India and Sri Lanka""WE call it Politics"(anyway I am happy at least i will be getting to watch some cricket)
